Cookie Policy
1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Prinil (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on prinil.com. It is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They serve a range of purposes — remembering your preferences, keeping you signed in, helping site owners understand how visitors use the site, and so on.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by the site you are visiting (in this case, prinil.com).
- Third-party — set by a domain other than the one you are visiting (e.g., Google Analytics or YouTube).
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until manually deleted.
We also use related technologies (local storage, pixels) which behave similarly to cookies. References to “cookies” in this policy include those technologies.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the site to function — for example, to remember a logged-in client portal session or to maintain a secure connection. These cannot be turned off in our settings; if you block them in your browser, parts of the site may not work.
3.2 Performance & analytics cookies
Help us understand how visitors interact with the site (which pages are popular, where visitors come from, where they drop off). All data is aggregated and anonymized. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.
3.3 Functionality cookies
Remember choices you make (such as your language or your dismissed cookie banner) so you don’t have to set them again on every visit.
3.4 Marketing & advertising cookies
We do not use these. prinil.com does not run advertising-network pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads remarketing, no LinkedIn Insight, no TikTok Pixel) and we do not track visitors across other websites for advertising purposes.
4. Cookies on prinil.com
The cookies currently in use on our site fall into the categories below. Exact names may vary slightly with plugin or theme updates.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Strictly necessary | Keeps team members logged in to the WordPress admin / client portal. | Session / 14 days |
| wp-settings-* | Strictly necessary | Stores admin display preferences. | 1 year |
| PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary | Maintains the server session for active visits. | Session |
| cf_clearance / __cf_bm | Strictly necessary | Cloudflare bot-mitigation and basic security (set by Cloudflare). | 30 minutes – 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics | Google Analytics 4 — visitor counting and session attribution. | 13–14 months |
| _gid | Analytics | Google Analytics — distinguishes users within a 24-hour window. | 24 hours |
| cookie_notice_accepted | Functionality | Remembers that you have dismissed the cookie banner. | 1 year |
| elementor_* | Functionality | Elementor page-builder runtime preferences. | Varies |
5. Third-Party Cookies
The site may load resources from third-party domains, which can set their own cookies subject to their own policies:
- Google Analytics — usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy · Opt-out browser add-on.
- Cloudflare — CDN and security. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — web typography. May make a brief connection to Google servers when fonts load.
- YouTube / Vimeo — only if you click play on an embedded video.
6. Your Choices & Browser Controls
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner — on your first visit, accept or reject non-essential cookies via our banner.
- Browser settings — every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Search “cookie settings” in your browser’s help for instructions.
- Google Analytics opt-out — install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block GA across all sites you visit.
- Private / incognito mode — most browsers automatically clear cookies at the end of an incognito session.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (such as the client portal) from working correctly.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no widely accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT. Because we do not use advertising trackers or sell visitor data, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We will revisit this position as industry standards evolve.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, change vendors, or to reflect changes in law. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on the site for at least 14 days.
